PIN Cookies is a handcrafted cookies brand in Hong Kong. After 6 years of operation, they are hoping to refresh the brand with stronger local culture. The original branding lacks uniqueness and the product organisation is messy.

We helped to refine the logo with a Chinese lockup, a new brand tagline and rewrite the brand philosophy to incorporate with the brand name. A new set of brand illustration is created in the beauty of our inclusiveness culture that Hong Kong has. In a busy crossing road, the mixture of east and west, different personalities and pace of people all interlace together. This is Hong Kong. And this is PIN Cookies.

For the 12 pieces packaging design, it is inspired by classic gift packing from 60s-70s in Hong Kong. A pink slip with "gift" wordings were added on top of the goods and tied with a knot if you requested for gifting purpose. This is the beginning of gift packaging. We wanted to bring it back and modified it into a little handbag style for photogenic purpose. The classic "送禮佳品" also aligned with the brand name, "品曲奇".

The 6 pieces packaging is inspired by traditional heavy decorative graphic design with owner's portrait as a trademark. Back in the days, when you had passion to create good quality goods, you would put up your face in the packaging and let people to remember you. We created a modern version in this style to address the passion and quality of PIN Cookies. Additionally, the curve shape of the packaging aligned the curves in their cookies and palmiers, giving a soft and delicate touch then a normal rectangular packaging.
