Department of Applied Biology and Chemical Technology (ABCT) is a multi-disciplinary department that embraces chemistry, biology, biochemistry, biochemical engineering and food science. We are asked to help design there different logo directions for the department and the staff and students of the department can vote on their favourite one to use. Our challenge is to visualise such abstract science subjects and to create a symbol that can unite this broad .

The infinity world

A DNA pattern forming a round shape to represent our world. The repeating pattern also implies infinity and sustainability. The pattern is wrapping some compounds at the center to symbolise the world with biology and chemistry, new technology is created under the support of these two aspects. The yellow and lake green colour combination is giving a sense of environment related, energetic and positive feeling.
